Terms & Conditions

We know it's the boring bit, but things can go wrong on the odd occasion and we strive to be transparent:

• General 

  These Terms & Conditions govern all services provided by Soap & Suds Limited ("Soap & Suds", "we," "us," or "our"). 

  By leaving items with us, either in store, via collection, or through third-party partners, you ( " the customer," "you," or " your") accept these Terms & Conditions.

  Garment Care & Processing

  We follow the care instructions provided on garment labels wherever possible.

  If no care label is preent, or if we have reasonable doubt about the best method of cleaning, we will proceed using our professional judgement and accepted industry practices.

  We may decline to clean items if we believe the process may cause damage. 

   

•  

  Risk of Damage, Shrinkage, or Change

  All items are cleaned entirely at the owner's risk 

  We cannot guarantee against:

  • Colour fading, running or bleeding.
  • Shrinkage, stretching, or changes in texture.
  • Weakening of fabrics, seams, buttoms, zips, trims, or embellishments.
  • Pre-existing damage, wear, or deterioration that may worsen during cleaning

   

  Stains are treated at the customer's risk. We cannot guarantee complete removal.

  Items with inherent defects, poor manufacturing, or age-related deterioration are particularly vulnerable, and Soap & Suds accepts no liablity for any resulting damage or change.

  Limitation of Liability

  To the fullest extent permitted by law, Soap & Suds does not accept liability for loss, damage, or deterioration of any item, howsoever arising, whether due to cleaning, handling or storage. 

  In the event that we are found liable ( by law) for loss or damage, compensation shall not exceed three times the cleaning charge for the item concerned, and in no circumstances shall exceed the item's fair market value ( taking account of age, wear and condition).

  We are not responsible for:

  • Loose or missing items left in pockets ( e.g.money, jewellery, pens, receipts, keys)
  • Damage caused by items left inside garments eg ( tissues, chewing gum, ink, lipstick)
  • Items left uncollected for more than 90 days

  Collection & Delivery Service 

  Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.

  Customers must ensure someone is available to hand over and recieve items, unless otherwise agreed. 

  Risk of items, transfers to Soap & Sudsonly when in our possession, and back to the customer upon delivery or collection.

   

•  

  Payments & Charges

  All charges are due at the time of order unless otherwise agreed.

  Unpaid items will not be released.

   

•  

  Complaints 

  Any complaint must be made in writing within 48 hours of collection or delivery.

  You must present the item in question for review. 

   

•  

  Force Majeure

  Soap & Suds is not liabel for delays, damages, or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to  equipment failure, industrial action, accidents, fire, flood, or other unforseen circumstances. 

   

•  

  Governing Law

  These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construced in accordance with the  laws of England and Wales.
